He got his start in radio at the ripe old age of 11...from a questionably-legal station in the spare bedroom of his family's home in Whitwell, TN... Things have definitely evolved from there. These days, Logan Carmichael gets the Sequatchie Valley up and out the door weekday mornings alongside longtime friend, Kaitlyn Hickman! Together, they bring you Logan & Kaitlyn Mornings with plenty of music, entertainment and information! When he's not on the air, Logan is also over programming and production operations and serves as our Chief Engineer for Tennessee Valley Broadcasting (WEPG and WSDQ), keeping the radio waves flowing and handling everything that leaves our studios to the top of the tower to your radio -- keeping the music on your radio, smart speakers, and TV.  He also works full-time, locally, in public education, specializing in the field of Exceptional Education Technology.  Since his humble starts in his hometown of Whitwell, he's worked in other cities like Chattanooga, Atlanta, and in Indiana. He came full-circle back to our stations several years back When he's not busy working, he's busy as a full-time uncle raising his niece and nephew, Xander and Scarlette. He also enjoys listening to all kinds of music (especially Jimmy Buffett -- he's our resident Parrot Head), talking all over the world on his ham radio, watching the Tennessee Vols, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, and New Orleans Saints...and many other hobbies.
